Eric Metaxas on Focus on the Family, 5/2/2010

Eric Metaxas, author, discusses his book, Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy; has written for VeggieTales among other many diverse jobs. Healso has an interesting conversation about "Socrates in the City" which is a "social event" in Manhattan that centers on Truth, from a Biblical viewpoint. This even has been a really cool way of exposing the Truth of the Bible to New Yorkers that have no desire to be evangelized to but do like events like this. He talks about the immensely secular background that is Yale and New York City, and his calling to that environment. Eric also mentions several, nearly totally unknown stories about well known people in American history that had strong Christian faiths of which most never hear that part of their story. For example he mentions Buzz Aldrin taking bread/wine for doing his own personal "Lord's Supper" ON THE MOON as soon as they land. So some of the first words spoken on the moon are words from the Bible, words of Jesus, as well as taking communion.
