Sometimes you may be in more of a listening mood than a reading one. Sometimes you're in the position in which reading might even be hazardous to your health (say when driving). For some people, reading is a quick slide to slumber, as it can make a person drowsy. The above link will slip you away to biblegateway.com - a site that is all about, you guessed it, the Bible. The site is a repository of Bible Translations that you can read, in various languages. But the nifty thing being pointed to in this blogpost is that they also have free streaming audio Bibles to listen to, anywhere, anytime over a web connection. I suppose you could even do this over your smartphone though I've not yet tried it.
Was thinking that, in addition to these scenarios, some folks listen to music, or talk radio while at work. Why not change that pace up with the WORD of GOD occasionally or you know, more than just occasionally? Being entertained is nice, as is being informed of worldly things, but being fed God's Word is more empowering and fulfilling than anything else you could be listening to if you consume it and let it soak in.
